NSW: Motorcyclist killed near Forbes
SYDNEY, April 13 AAP - A 64-year-old man died when his motorcycle and a truck collided
in central western NSW.
Inspector Bruce McGregor of Parkes police said Ronald Byrne was killed when he ran
into a small tip-truck in Back Yamma State Forest, near Forbes, about 8.20am (AEST) today.
Mr Byrne, of Parkes, was travelling north on his 100cc Yamaha dirt bike when he collided
with the westbound truck, Insp McGregor said.
He was not wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead on arrival at Forbes Hospital.
The truck driver was treated for shock.
Insp McGregor said no charges had been laid.
